Every vehicle we do is custom tuned specifically for your needs using the original software in your vehicle, whether you require a performance remap, economy remap or if you just require more bottom end torque.
If engine DPF & EGR & ADBLUE / NOX warning light or Anti-Pollution warning is on, please do not ignore it. Get professional advice, consider your options carefully and attend to the problem. Leaving it will ultimately cost you much more in additional repair bills and it can be dangerous.
Our guarantee is, if you are not happy with how your vehicle drives when we take you for a test drive after the remap, we'll put it back the way it was and you do not pay anything.
Will my car pass the NCT if the DPF is removed?
Yes, it will pass all current NCT, DOE and MOT testing.
Contrary to popular belief your vehicle is not required to have a DPF fitted to pass the current NCT test. In the UK a visual inspection may be carried out to determine if a DPF is in place. Because we only remove the internal structure from the DPF leaving the canister and sensors in place and that our software modification does NOT effect emission standards, our DPF removal service carried out will always pass this test without issues. Same approach in UK. We can offer a guaranteed successful DPF removal. Replacing the DPF with a brand new unit can cost well over €1000 and could also go faulty further down the line.
We are able to offer a removal service eliminating the problem with no re-occurring problems. Once the DPF is removed, the vehicle’s ECU system requires updating to disable the part that maintains the DPF system.
We understand that every customer’s requirements are unique and welcome the opportunity to discuss a suitable solution package. Please contact us for further information.
Adblue functions and how it works
Many modern diesel cars come with AdBlue installed. This system has a range of names - Mercedes calls it, for example, "BlueTEC", Peugeot - "BlueHDI", VW cars have it included in Bluemotion, and so on. AdBlue helps to reduce the amount of NOx (Nitrous oxide) in the diesel exhaust gases. The system usually consists of the following components: AdBlue tank, heating system, pump, agent spray nozzle, NOx sensor, an additional catalytic convertor, and AdBlue system control unit.
The Adblue Delete software fix can be used to ensure the vehicle remains in full power fault free operating mode without using Adblue or when the original Adblue and NOx system is faulty, as result, will lower the vehicle running costs, improves fuel consumption and greatly reduces or eliminates the repairs costs often associated with the adblue system.
We have a very advanced solution for EGR issues. The valves can become clogged with carbon deposits, causing them to fail or stick, thereby causing error codes and the vehicle not to run correctly. Our software solution to disable the EGR valve is a simple and effective method of improving the efficiency of your engine.
Whether you’re looking to optimise performance, economy, or a combination of the two, we have the skills, experience and equipment to provide you with a best ECU remapping service that will transform the way your engine works.
We offer a full remap service for most of Cars/Vans/Trucks, HGV, LGV, Tippers, Grab Lorries and Construction Trucks, this is usually done at your premises with minimum downtime to your organisation.
Remap to safely gain from 40-100 bhp extra power with massive torque gains, and guaranteed better fuel economy, giving the truck owner massive savings over a fixed period.
Swirl flaps are small butterfly valves located within the inlet manifold on modern diesel and petrol engines, they are designed to help regulate the fuel to air ratio, improve emissions and help generate better torque at low engine speeds. At light engine loads the flaps close, causing the air to swirl into the combustion chamber, the swirling affect aids combustion and helps to improve emissions and generate more torque. After 2000 rpm the flaps are generally activated to a fully open position and have very little effect on engine performance and emissions.
What are the problems?
Major Mechanical Failure:
Some vehicles, predominantly early BMW’s were fitted with metal flaps which were prone for failure, the metal screws holding the flap to the spindle would become loose and enter the combustion chamber causing catastrophic engine damage.
Leaking Manifolds
Overtime the seals surrounding the flap spindle brakes down and causes pressurized air from the inlet manifold to leak to atmosphere. Loss in boost pressure will cause a vehicle to run rich and can damage other components such as DPF, EGR, etc..
Carbon build up:
Carbon from the EGR system along with oil from the breather system causes carbon to build up on the flaps, this reduces the intake manifold size and can hinder performance.
Electronic actuators:
Modern manifold designs incorporate an electronic actuator which opens and closes the flaps. These actuators can fail, along with the position sensors, this can result in the flaps staying in the closed position and thus hindering performance, along with an engine management light and in some cases limp mode.
How do we remove them?
The process for removing the flaps depends on the design, in some cases the manifold is unbolted and the flaps physically removed, in other cases where the mechanical status of the flaps are good and the fault is due to an electronic actuator, the actuator function can be disabled and the flaps left in place.
We can reprogram your vehicles engine ECU to either install, remove or adjust a speed limiter. Many ex-company vans which originated in the Ireland / UK come equipped with a speed limiter.
Depending on the customer's wish we can remove this limitation or increase it. Common applications are Ford Transit vans and mini buses, Citroen Dispatch, Renault Trafic, Peugeot Partner, Volkswagen Crafter, Mercedes Sprinter and Opel Combo.
We can offer speed limiter removal or adjustment service as part of a Performance or Economy remap as well.
Contact us with your vehicle details for further information.
Is Dieselgate “emissions fix” causing EGR valves to fail?
Have you been affected by the VAG Dieselgate & EGR scandal or by Glow plug and EGR warning lights
Many of the drivers said that when they had the problems examined by a mechanic they were told that the exhaust gas re-circulation (EGR) valve would need to be replaced at a cost of up to 1,600 euros. The EGR is used to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from the engine.
